One advantage - one of the many advantages - of being who he is, is the ability to find a mind. Puck's not being human is actually an assistance in this case, he sticks out like a sore thumb, even if the contents of the head are mostly hidden.
He doesn't often do this. But the creature's not in the bar and he wants to talk to him. The fairy can't be allowed to think he has all the time in the world. So he moves, adjusts, and really, is it so strange that a building should explode into flames suddenly? Fires are so easy to start by accident, after all.
Stranger, is the way he walks out of unscathed. But no matter. The people who see won't be believed anyway, and he doesn't care about public opinion. He just stops, lights a cigarette and mentally casts around. Puck's not far away. |
