Satan is...well, Satan. In this particular incarnation, he's taken the body of a guy in New York City, the man propechy chose to be his vehicle on Earth. He's fairly tall, has dark hair and blue eyes and there's an obvious Irish lilt to his voice.

THINGS TO KNOW:

He murders at will and enjoys it. He kills in horrific ways, tortures and seems to favour death by crucifixtion. He does not tolerate failure in those who follow him and has the capability to give life back to the dead, if they agree to do his will or if he thinks he needs them for something. Once someone is brought back for the latter reason, they don't seem to reject him.

He creates fire with a touch, can appear wherever he chooses and can see inside the minds of people. He knows their sins. He makes illusions to show people what he can give them, to tempt them to do his bidding.

He can go into churches, though it pains him to do so. He cannot, however, see through the walls of a church the way he can with any regular building. It doesn't stop him going inside to get what he wants but consecrated ground does offer some protection to those within.

Canonically, if a person is possessed by him it is possible to resist him and refuse to do his bidding, though it seems to be painful for the subject. The person must be extremely bloody-minded to stop him though, and have something large at stake - in a normal circumstance, it would likely be impossible. He is not prone to randomly possessing people though. He normally doesn't have to in order to get what he wants.
